Email & notifications

Your app can reach out on your behalf — sending emails when something important happens, and showing notifications to people using the app. It keeps everyone informed without you doing it by hand. As with everything in Exepad, you switch it on by asking.

Ask Exepad to send an email whenever a certain thing happens, and it takes care of the rest. Common uses:

  • Confirmations — email someone after they sign up, book, or submit a form: “Send a confirmation email when someone completes a booking.”
  • Notifications to you — get an email when something needs your attention: “Email me when a new order comes in.”
  • Updates to your customers — let people know when their request has moved forward: “Email the customer when I mark their order as shipped.”

You choose what triggers the email and roughly what it should say, and Exepad handles sending it. Emails go out from your app’s own name, so they feel like they came from you.

When your app has a login, you can also show notifications inside the app — a small badge or list that tells each person what’s new since they last visited. Think “your order shipped,” “a new comment was added,” or “your request was approved.”

Each person sees only their own notifications, and they can mark them as read once they’ve caught up. Ask for it like this: “Notify each user in the app when their task is assigned.”

Email and in-app notifications work well side by side:

  • A form submission emails you and thanks the sender automatically.
  • A new booking emails the customer a confirmation and shows you an alert in the app.
  • A status change notifies the right person the way they’ll actually notice.
  • Forms — collect submissions and get notified when they arrive.
  • Adding a login — required for per-person in-app notifications.
  • Adding data to your app — the information your notifications can be based on.
