The workspace
When you open an app in Exepad, you land in the Studio — your workspace at app.exepad.com. It has two halves: the place where you describe your app, and the place where you see it. Everything you do happens between those two panels.

The two panels
Section titled “The two panels”- The chat panel — where you tell Exepad what you want. Your first message creates the app; every message after that changes it. This is where you ask for new pages, new features, and design tweaks, all in plain language. There’s no separate “edit mode” to learn — building and refining are the same conversation.
- The live preview — a real, working copy of your app, sitting right next to the chat. It’s not a picture. You can click buttons, fill in forms, and move between pages exactly as your visitors will. After each change you ask for, the preview updates so you can check the result straight away.
The controls around them
Section titled “The controls around them”Around the two panels you’ll find the handful of controls you reach for most:
- Preview size — check how your app looks on desktop, tablet, and phone.
- Publish — put your app online at its own link when you’re happy with it. Until you publish, everything stays private to you.
- Version history — every app keeps a record of its changes, so you can step back to an earlier version any time. See Version history.
- Settings & admin — rename your app, manage its settings, review the information it has collected, or return to your dashboard of all apps.
Pages and design aren’t separate control panels: you move between your app’s pages by clicking through its own menus right in the preview, and you change the look by describing it in the chat. See Pages & navigation and Design & theming.
Draft vs. live
Section titled “Draft vs. live”What you see in the Studio is your private draft — only you can see it. When you press Publish, Exepad puts a copy online for the people you share it with. Your live app never changes on its own; it only updates when you choose to publish again.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- Preview & iterate — click through and test your app as you build it.
- Build your first app — go from idea to live app, step by step.
- Pages & navigation — add and connect the screens of your app.
