Pages & navigation

Pages are the screens of your app — a home page, a dashboard, an about page, a settings page. Most apps have a few, and you can have as many as you need. You never build them by hand; you ask for them, and Exepad adds them to your app.

Asking for a new page

Just describe the screen you want and what it’s for:

  • “Add an About page with our story and a photo of the team.”
  • “Add a dashboard that shows my totals at a glance.”
  • “Give customers a page where they can see their past orders.”

Exepad creates the page and drops it into your app. You’ll see it appear in the preview, and you can open it by clicking through your app’s own menus and links — the same way your visitors will. Refine any page the same way you built it — one clear request at a time. See Editing by chatting.

Connecting pages with navigation

Pages on their own aren’t much use unless people can move between them — that’s what navigation does. It’s the menu, links, and buttons that carry visitors from one screen to the next. Exepad usually wires up a menu as you add pages, but you’re always in control:

  • “Add a top menu linking Home, Services, and Contact.”
  • “Put a ‘Back to dashboard’ button on the settings page.”
  • “Remove the About page from the menu but keep the page.”

Describe how you want people to get around, and Exepad adjusts the menus and links to match.

Setting a home page

The home page is the screen people land on first when they open your app. If you’d like a different page to greet them, just say so:

  • “Make the dashboard the home page.”
  • “Start visitors on the welcome page instead.”
