Troubleshooting
Most bumps have a quick, everyday fix. Find the situation that matches yours below and follow the steps.
My changes aren’t showing on my live site
Section titled “My changes aren’t showing on my live site”Changes you make while building live in your private draft. Your live version stays as it was at your last publish until you publish again.
What to do: Publish your app to push your latest changes live. See Publishing your app.
A change didn’t come out the way I wanted
Section titled “A change didn’t come out the way I wanted”No need to start over. The clearest fix is usually to describe what’s off in your next message — “make the buttons bigger and move them to the right,” or “show the newest items first.”
What to do: Ask for the correction in plain language. If you’d rather return to how things were, roll back to an earlier version. See Version history.
My app looks different published vs. in preview
Section titled “My app looks different published vs. in preview”This almost always means your live version is from an earlier publish, so it hasn’t caught up with your latest edits yet.
What to do: Publish again so the live version matches your current draft. See Publishing your app.
I can’t sign in
Section titled “I can’t sign in”Double-check you’re using the same account and sign-in method you started with, and try again in a fresh browser window.
What to do: Head to app.exepad.com and sign in the same way you signed up.
My users can’t sign in
Section titled “My users can’t sign in”If people using your app can’t get in, it’s usually a login setting rather than a broken app — for example, the wrong sign-in option is switched on, or someone hasn’t been given access yet.
What to do: Review your app’s sign-in options and who’s allowed in. See Sign-in options and Managing users.
My free app’s link stopped working
Section titled “My free app’s link stopped working”Free apps stay live for 30 days after each publish. If your free app’s link has gone quiet, it usually just needs republishing.
What to do: Open your app and publish again to renew its live link. To keep an app online permanently — and drop the Exepad badge — move up to Pro. See Plans.
I reached a usage limit
Section titled “I reached a usage limit”Each plan includes an amount of monthly usage for building and hosting. If you reach it, Exepad lets you know.
What to do: Wait for your monthly usage to renew, add funds to your wallet (on Pro), or move up a plan for more room. See Plans and Usage & wallet.
Something looks broken after an edit
Section titled “Something looks broken after an edit”If an edit left your app in a worse state, you can step back to how it was before.
What to do: Ask Exepad to undo the last change — “undo that last change, I preferred the previous layout” — or roll back to an earlier version. See Version history.
