Build a content site

This tutorial builds a polished marketing site for a small business: a homepage, a few sections, a blog for updates, and a contact form so visitors can reach you. Then you’ll publish it on your own web address. It builds on Build your first app.

You’ll lean on two of Exepad’s built-in features: the blog and forms. Both are ready to switch on — just ask for them.

Start a new app and paint the big picture in your first description — what the business is, and the main sections you want:

“A marketing website for Bloom & Co, a small florist. A homepage with a hero section, an about section, a gallery of our arrangements, and a footer with our hours and location. Clean and elegant, with soft colors.”

Exepad builds a complete, designed site from that. Give it a few minutes, then look it over in the preview.

Shape the design and content one request at a time:

“Use a warm cream background with deep green accents, and an elegant serif font for headings.”

“Change the hero headline to ‘Fresh arrangements for every occasion’ with a button that says ‘See our work.’”

“Add a testimonials section with three short customer quotes.”

Each request updates the site, and you review it in the preview as you go.

A blog keeps your site fresh and gives people a reason to come back. Switch it on by asking:

“Add a blog where I can post updates and seasonal tips, with a page that lists the latest posts.”

Exepad adds the blog and a place to write and manage your posts. Add a first post to see how it looks. For more on writing and managing posts, see Blog.

Now give visitors a way to reach you:

“Add a contact page with a form asking for name, email, and a message, and let me see the submissions.”

“Email me whenever someone sends the contact form.”

Every message a visitor sends is saved for you, and you’ll get an email when one arrives. See Forms for what else forms can do.

Click through the preview as a visitor would — open each section, read a blog post, send a test message through the contact form. If anything feels off, just describe the fix:

“Make the gallery images larger and show them three across.”

“Move the contact link to the top navigation.”

When it’s ready, publish. Your site goes live at its own your-app.exepad.app link — ready to share in moments.

To use your own web address like www.bloomandco.com, connect a custom domain. Exepad walks you through it, and once it’s set up your site lives at your own address. See Custom domains for the step-by-step.

Made updates later? Publish again to push them live, or roll back if needed.

  • Blog — write, organize, and manage your posts.
  • Forms — collect messages, sign-ups, and submissions.
  • Custom domains — put your site on your own web address.
