FAQ
Short answers to the questions we hear most. Follow the links for the full story.
Do I need to know how to code?
Section titled “Do I need to know how to code?”No. You describe the app you want in plain language and Exepad builds it, then you refine it by chatting — the same way you’d give feedback to a designer. There’s nothing to install and no code to write. See How Exepad works.
How long does it take to build an app?
Section titled “How long does it take to build an app?”A first working version usually takes a few minutes. From there you refine it by asking for changes one at a time, and most people have something they’re happy to share within an afternoon. See Build your first app.
Can I change my app after publishing?
Section titled “Can I change my app after publishing?”Yes, any time. Keep refining your private draft, then publish again to update the live version. Every publish is saved, so you can always roll back to an earlier version. See Publishing your app and Versions & rollback.
Is my data private?
Section titled “Is my data private?”Yes. Your draft is private to you while you build, and if your app has a login, each person who signs in sees only their own information. You decide what’s shared and with whom. See Adding a login.
Can I use my own domain?
Section titled “Can I use my own domain?”Yes. Every published app gets a free your-app.exepad.app link, and on the Pro plan you can connect your own address like tasks.yourcompany.com. See Custom domains and Plans.
What happens if I hit a limit?
Section titled “What happens if I hit a limit?”Your plan sets how much you can build and publish. If you reach a limit, Exepad lets you know — you can wait for it to reset or move up to a larger plan for more room. See Plans.
Can other people use my app?
Section titled “Can other people use my app?”Yes. Once published, your app is on the web for anyone you share the link with. If you’d rather keep it to a specific group, add a login so only the people you invite can get in. See Adding a login and Managing users.
Can I export my work?
Section titled “Can I export my work?”In most cases, yes — you can ask Exepad to add a way to export the information in your app, such as form responses or your saved data, so you can take it with you or open it elsewhere. See Importing & exporting.
How do I get help?
Section titled “How do I get help?”Start with Troubleshooting for quick fixes to common situations, and the Glossary if a word is unfamiliar. New features and improvements are announced on What’s new.
