AI assistant plugins
ChatGPT can build Exepad apps for you. Your assistant writes the app; Exepad builds it, shows a private preview in the chat, and puts it live when you approve. AI assistant plugins are included in every plan, Free too.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”Add https://mcp.exepad.com/mcp to your assistant. It signs you in to Exepad with OAuth, so there is no key to copy.
| Assistant | Where to add the address | Who can (set by the assistant's maker) |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT | Plugins › Add › Create custom MCP server | Adding a custom MCP server needs a paid ChatGPT plan, Plus or above, on the web. OpenAI decides which plans can use its write tools. OpenAI |

Sign in and choose apps
Section titled “Sign in and choose apps”Exepad opens and asks you to sign in. Signing in with Google creates your Exepad account if you don’t have one, and Free is enough. Then choose which apps the assistant may use; the apps it creates join that list. You can disconnect it at any time in Exepad.
Build and preview
Section titled “Build and preview”Ask for an app. Your assistant reads Exepad’s authoring guide, creates the app from the starter template, writes its changes and starts a build. A build installs, type-checks and bundles the app, then puts it on a private preview that only you can open. It takes about a minute, and the preview appears in the chat.
2 builds run at once per account, on every plan. A third is refused with BUILD_IN_PROGRESS, which marks it as worth retrying, and your assistant starts it again once one finishes.
Publish
Section titled “Publish”Your assistant prepares a publish and gives you a link. You approve it in Exepad within 30 minutes, and nothing goes live until you do. Taking an app offline and archiving it also ask you to confirm in Exepad.
Free puts one one-page site live, with no expiry. Several pages, saved data, sign-in or email need Go or Pro to go live. When an app needs a plan you don’t have, the approval page says so and links to the pricing page. Custom domains are on Pro.
Each build is charged to your wallet at 0.5 US cents a minute, by the second, and at most 10 cents a build. A typical build takes about 30 seconds and costs about a quarter of a cent, drawn from your monthly credit. A build starts only when the wallet can cover it. Your assistant’s own tokens cost nothing at Exepad. See Usage and wallet.

Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Plans and top-ups are only on exepad.com. Your assistant never sells you anything: when a build or a publish needs more, it says so and links to Pricing.
- An app you make in Exepad Studio from a prompt can be continued by your assistant: choose it when you connect. An app your assistant makes is in Studio too, with its preview and latest build, and its changes come from your assistant. An app built in Studio before assistant editing existed stays in Studio.
- Developer access is on Pro: other MCP clients, developer API keys, the
/v1API and A2A. See MCP.
