Glossary
A quick, plain-language guide to the words you’ll come across in Exepad. Nothing here is technical — it’s just the everyday vocabulary that helps you ask for exactly what you want.
The thing you build in Exepad: a real, working website or tool that people can open in a browser. An app is made of pages, a design, and — when you need it — saved information, a login, and built-in features. See How Exepad works.
A built-in feature that gives your app a place to publish articles or news, with a list of posts and a page for each one. You write and manage posts without leaving Exepad. See Blog.
Custom domain
Section titled “Custom domain”Your own web address for a published app — like tasks.yourcompany.com — instead of the default your-app.exepad.app link. Available on the Pro plan. See Custom domains.
Information your app saves and shows, such as a list of tasks, customers, or bookings. Adding data gives your app a memory, so what you enter is still there when you come back. See Adding data to your app.
Your private working copy of an app. Only you can see the draft while you build and refine it — changes here don’t affect your live version until you publish. See Publishing your app.
A built-in feature that lets visitors send you information — a contact form, a sign-up, or a survey — and collects every response in one place. See Forms.
Live version
Section titled “Live version”The published version of your app that’s out on the web for anyone you share it with. It stays exactly as it was at your last publish until you publish again. See Publishing your app.
An optional sign-in for your app. When it’s on, each person signs in and sees their own information — useful for member areas, client portals, and internal tools. See Adding a login.
One screen of your app — a home page, a dashboard, a settings page. Apps can have as many pages as you need, connected by menus and links. See Pages & navigation.
Your Exepad subscription level. The Free plan lets you build, preview, and publish with some limits; Pro raises those limits and unlocks more. See Plans.
Preview
Section titled “Preview”A live, working version of your app that you can click through as you build. The preview behaves just like the real thing, but only you can see it. See Preview & iterate.
Publish
Section titled “Publish”The single step that takes your draft live, putting your app on the web at its own link. You can publish again any time you make changes. See Publishing your app.
Record
Section titled “Record”A single saved entry in your app’s data — one task, one customer, one booking. Your data is a collection of records you can add to, edit, and remove. See Viewing & editing your data.
A label that decides what a signed-in person can see or do in your app — for example, an “admin” who manages everything versus a “member” who sees only their own area. See Roles & access.
Wallet
Section titled “Wallet”Your usage balance in US dollars on the Pro plan. Pro includes $25 of usage each month covering building and hosting; only usage beyond the included amount draws from your wallet, and a spend cap is on by default. See Usage & wallet.
